Siggetorps Elvira

Irish Cob/warmblood trotter cross, mare born 2022, approximately 155 cm. This is the absolutely hardest advertisement I have ever written. Elvira is not a horse I want to sell, but a horse I feel I must give a chance to a life with someone who has better conditions than I do right now. I have had her since she was six months old and have basically followed her since she was born. She means an enormous amount to me. She is a secure and wise horse who has experienced a lot from a young age. Already as an eight-month-old foal, we went for environmental training, and she has always been incredibly cool and curious. She stands alone in the stable and pasture without any problems, is easy to load and travel with, even alone. Kind with the farrier, although she sometimes gets a bit impatient and loses her balance. With a bit of hay or a lick stone, she usually stands contentedly. She has started her training under saddle and has been walked and trotted while ridden. After an accident where she reared up and fell over, the training was interrupted. She has been examined after the incident without any injuries found. There is a suspicion of wolf teeth, but her teeth have not been examined, and therefore I chose to continue working with her bitless. She is sensitive in a very nice way – responsive, soft, and wants to do right. During walks in the forest, she can become strong if she hasn't been out for a while, mostly because she thinks it's so much fun, but she listens and is manageable. About six weeks ago, she suddenly became sore, and the veterinarian suspected laminitis. She responded very quickly to pain relief, and several people have since questioned whether it really was laminitis. Unfortunately, I have not had the financial means to investigate it further, so I want to be completely open that there is a suspicion of laminitis. I have never had a horse with suspected laminitis before, and that is where my knowledge ends. Furthermore, I do not have the right conditions at home to be able to give a potential laminitic horse what it needs. At the same time, I have just become a mother, and time and finances are not sufficient. Therefore, I feel that the most fair thing for Elvira is to try to find a home where she gets the chance I cannot give her right now. Otherwise, she has never been sick. She has a small overgrowth from foal age after having pulled in an electric wire, which has been checked and assessed as insignificant. She is insured with Sveland. I am not looking for just anyone. The most important thing for me is that Elvira ends up with someone who sees the fantastic horse she is and wants to give her the future she deserves.
